The opening club competition in March of this year was cancelled due 40+mph winds. The outing was re-arranged for yesterday 12th July, and at one stage during the past week it looked possible that the day might again be cancelled due to high winds forecast. The high winds didn't quite materialise, but were strong enough to provide a stiff challenge for those taking part. Well done to Frank Boggie for winning the day with 8 fish for almost 20lb, on a floating line with a team of diawl beach's. Jane Wright caught the biggest fish taken , at 3lb 7oz, and has now overtaken Kenny Whitehead at the top of the overall leaderboard |
